Installation
- Download. Get the latest Asus ROG Ally image from the downloads page or the wiki.
- Flash. Write to SD card or SSD with balenaEtcher or
dd. - Boot. Insert media, power on. Controllers pair on first boot.
- Rescue. If something breaks, reboot into rescue mode.
Notes
Portable high-end emulation with straightforward controller mapping and a single-boot gaming flow.
- Pick a balanced performance profile for cooler temps and longer sessions.
- External docks work best when USB-C power delivery is stable.
Known issues
- Battery life varies widely under heavier workloads.
- USB-C hubs can be finicky, so test your dock early.
